Congrats to my other-half

No, I am not talking about J! :) My other soulmate A has been "my person" since 9th grade and I don't know what I would do without her! When we went to different colleges in Florida, it was tough; when we moved to different states, it felt like I was lost.

She has been working to become a Doctor since the day I met her! She worked harder than anyone I know to build her resumé IN high school not to mention college! She was an amazing Maid of Honor even though she was applying to med schools and dress shopping at the same time! 

Med school has been a long 4 years for both of us! Middle of the night calls about the same drama, telling her over and over again that she needs to rid herself of a specific drama, and some of the most stressful surgery hours you can imagine (I think we had a daily phone call to vent for that entire rotation!). But, now, it's finally coming to a close...

I am so so so proud of my best friend for making it to graduation day after a long 4 years alone in THE Big City! I am unbelievably sad that I am not there to watch you walk across the stage, but know that I am right there beside you anyway! 

Congratulations Dr. A!!!! I love you and can't wait to see you friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 

Life as a single mom

J is away at a conference, so we are making things work here at the house! He left Tuesday morning and after lots of really long delays, he made it to Penn State late at night.  

Tuesday LA and I had a ladies movie night which was really fun! The H's are gone while we are so I'm going to miss seeing them all the time! 

Flik and Lilo don't mind having most of the bed! 

Thursday, was our 4th Anniversary so it was a little strange to be apart, but I know we are going to have a great vacation when he gets back! 

In his absence, I did insanity and then my friend/unbiological sister took me on a yoga and dinner date! :)

I am mad we didn't get any pics together! 

Saturday, Lilo's Doggie Daycare had a pool party so we went and played for about an hour. It was really hot and I wasn't sure my dogs would swim enough to make paying for the time worth it so after the party we went to our favorite park to cool off!

Totally worn out!!! Success! 

I knew they would sleep a few hours, so I got all my shopping done for the trip! Lilo ate her bed 2 weeks ago so I guess she was letting me know she needed an upgrade! :)

I think she likes it! 

This was when I told her she had to get up so I could bring it upstairs! Ha!

Other than puppy pictures...I just have a couple post insanity funny pictures

Anyway, It's been a pretty great week even if we missed J and I was a little sick (for the millionth time this year)! I realized without J, I just have a lot of dog pictures, so sorry for that! :)

Anniversary

Happy 4 Year Anniversary to the love of my life!!!


I don't know how people date new people and trust them! I am so glad that I know how you grew up and what you have been through because I was there and going through it with you!!!

 High school graduation and prom

The last four years feel like a whirlwind; so much has changed in such a short time! We left the only place I had ever called "home" and started our own adventure together. We bought our first house and adopted 2 babies that make our family perfect! 
You stand by me through thick and thin (and 3 of my family members moving in and out just in the past year!). Your support makes my success a possibility and for that I am so thankful! 
I hate that we are apart today, but I know that our hearts are never really too far from each other.

I love you very much and can't wait to celebrate when you get back! After this exhausting year, we certainly need a little R&R together and with our best friends!!! Happy 4 Years Hun!
