Six Years Ago...
My then boyfriend asked me to marry him!
He knew I wanted something big and even though he was completely uncomfortable, he made my dreams come true.
He was so nervous and thanks to a slip from a chef at work, I was clued into the plan. My brother B tried to put me in a dress too (which if you know me, rarely happens! So, I knew he was trying to tell me to look good for pictures. Then my brothers B and B tried to throw me off the scent by canceling on the concert ( too much homework and a date). I was like, well I know that stuff is important, but if J was really proposing they would come right???
Well, after arriving at Disney's House of Blues, I saw B and B over on the other side of the crowd and J's hands were shaking like a leaf. I know it would happen just didn't know how or when.
The night was amazing! J tried to get us on stage, but I like how it happened even better! Our friends recruited the help of some of the mosh pit dancers to help clear a ton of room on the floor. When our song came on, they pushed everyone out in a huge circle around us!
All I remember (and could hear) J saying was a bunch of jumbled words and then "Marry me...Please." It was amazing and an experience I will always cherish.
