Happy 4 Year Anniversary to the love of my life!!! I don't know how people date new people and trust them! I am so glad that I know how you grew up and what you have been through because I was there and going through it with you!!!
High school graduation and prom
The last four years feel like a whirlwind; so much has changed in such a short time! We left the only place I had ever called "home" and started our own adventure together. We bought our first house and adopted 2 babies that make our family perfect! You stand by me through thick and thin (and 3 of my family members moving in and out just in the past year!). Your support makes my success a possibility and for that I am so thankful! I hate that we are apart today, but I know that our hearts are never really too far from each other. I love you very much and can't wait to celebrate when you get back! After this exhausting year, we certainly need a little R&R together and with our best friends!!! Happy 4 Years Hun! ~Riah
First and foremost, I most thank everyone in our armed forces!!! Past, present, and future men, women, service dogs, and horses our thanks will never be enough to thank you for the freedom you provide! THANK YOU!
Friday was my students high school graduation!!! It was a seriously long day and lots of fingerspelling for the interpreter, but I'm so happy and proud of her!
Friday night awesome! N, J, and I went to an awesome restaurant called Your Pie (it's like subway but in personal pizza form). Most places I go do not accommodate my food allergies whatsoever;they either act like they hate having me or they play stupid and serve me things that make me sick anyway.
Your Pie goes above and beyond to make sure I don't feel sick! They have a fully gluten and dairy free pizza that tastes great! They changed gloves and made it in the back(away from any other flour!). I haven't had pizza in months and that was just because I was craving it even though I was sick for 3 days after eating it! So thankful for this wonderful treat from my past without allergies!
Saturday started us off with a bang! Lots of things to checkoff our list!
-First a stop by the vet to refill Flik's antibiotics (he has improved, but not enough to stop the meds...hope after these 2 weeks, he'll be back to perfect health).
-Next stop, Pets Plus for lots of dog and cat food so they will have plenty for our upcoming trip(also some bones and new training leash!😊).
-then off to Lowes for mulch and equipment to finish our water feature. When dad was here, he started a project in the back that we couldn't let sit any longer. We are still calling places for small rocks for the top (it's suprisingly hard to get them unless you want to buy at least a half ton!), but here's what we were going off of, and then the next is what we have finished so far.
Since Building, we have discovered it is a very popular watering hole for our (and most of the neighbor's) pups! HA! They think we made it just for them!
After long hot hours, we finished up the day hanging out at the H's playing with the babies and I also ran to Publix to pick up an rx and dinner stuff. We started a movie, but I crashed after a few minutes!
Sunday, I went to work first. Then we decided to workout. I haven't had a gym membership since my Ucf days and I never really focused on weights, so I thought I'd go into one of our local gyms. This is the complaint I ended up writing them after our visit:
I just wanted to let you know that your sales tactics just lost you a customer. I have never been a member of a gym because I am a cyclist and avid workout person on my own, but I wanted to start weights and classes. I saw the 3 day free trial on your website, but the form wouldn't work (server error). My husband and I decided to go in to the west side location and just say we saw that on the website. The woman said we had to fill out the form on the website, but that still didn't work. Then she had us fill out guest forms and acted like that would safice. We took the tour and really liked the facilities. She then sat us down to discuss pricing. That was fine because we were interested in signing up. After going through two of the three options she said she had for us, we felt pushed into signing. I really wanted to try out the equipment and a class or two before deciding since I have never experienced any kind of gym before, but it quickly became evident that if we did not sign up today, we would not be allowed to use any kind of free trial. You should not advertise something that your employees do not follow just to get people in the door. I just wanted to let you know you are losing customers due to our experience today. Thank you.
I still don't think the gym is for me since I like being with my puppies too much, but the manager has called several times to appologize, so we will see what kind of deal they offer now. 😄
Anyway, we decided to pay for a guest pass at UGA so I could still try out some weights.
We made it home and still did an insanity abs session! :)
Monday was pretty lazy... Cleaned the house a little, got J packed for his trip, played with the H's and pups in their kiddie pool while J was at work. He came home and took a nice long nap, but I woke him after a couple hours so we could do Insanity and eat! My leg muscles were crazy sore from working them out with weights for the first time!!! Looks like I need to be doing more of that!
All in all, great weekend at the Lama house and I will miss my hubby lots while he's at his conference! So glad N is here to keep me company! Hope y'all had a great weekend too!

Here's what I'm saying "So what" to this week.
So what if...
~I am already bored not working!
~I am so bored, I started watching 'Hart of Dixie' and it's ridiculous, but I'm still watching.
~I forgot how much I hated reading textbooks!!!
~I had to spend 2grand for one online class out of pocket because student loans only come though for 6 or more credit hours and my program only has one class available for the summer!
~I am still worried about Flik, but the meds really seem to be helping.
~I have been working out like crazy, and it's hard sometimes when you don't feel good or are exhausted, but when people notice left and right, it's really worth it!!!
~family drama is stressful no matter how involved or not involved you decide to be!
~All of this sucks, but...I'm on a cruise in 17 days!!! I don't even care what else is going on this week!
It's my last day at this school and I'm so excited for summer to start!!! My student is a senior, so I most likely won't be back to this school again. I will miss a few of the teachers that I have worked with the last few years, but I won't miss the drive at all! I swear, one day I'm going to live within 30 minutes of work!
Hopefully I'll see less guys with short-ass shorts!!!
I've been really worried about him the past week! Monday at his first rally class I noticed a little bump on his ankle and he was acting a little slower than normal. Nicole said he had vomited that morning. The bump got bigger the next few days, so I called the vet. I told them I thought it might be a spider bite or sting of some kind but I wasn't sure. They said wait until monday and I really wish I hadn't. We brought him in this monday and the vet said it could be a tick bite infection and he could have an illness from one of them. Lilo and Flik are on the same meds for fleas and ticks and she hasn't had any but we have picked at least 10 off of him! Vet said if he wasn't drastically better after 2 days of expensive antibiotics then we need to have blood work done. This morning Joey said he seemed better so when I get home I will watch him and evaluate his behavior! I really hope he is feeling better, I don't know what I would do if something serious happened to him!
LILO came to the vet for support.
On a happier note, Lilo subbed in for Flik's rally class. I know he loves working so I hated to leave him home, but I wanted him to rest! I was really worried because Lilo is not really at that level yet. She is really stubborn and follows Joey better than me most of the time, but she did awesome!!! I was expecting to just have to sit out and watch the class if she couldn't keep up, but she tried really hard! It was rough at first, but she caught on really fast! Of course all of this was done with food (she will do just about anything for food), but she's young and has a lot of time to get better!
She didn't like walking on my left and I realized that was a huge fault on our part. We always put Flik on the left since he was doing the competition practice and that's the side they require, so that means Lilo was always on the right. She was totally thrown when I tried to move her to the left. I learned I need to switch it up on both of them. It's better for them to be ambiwalkers anyway for chiropractic reasons. For shows they will have to be on the left, but they really need to practice on both sides! I was really surprised and proud she did as well as she did! This was exhausted LILO when we got home! All that thinking and good behavior wore her out :)
Thanks for you prayer guys! I hope our little family gets out of this mess soon!

Here's what I'm saying "So What" to this week
So what if....
I am feeling a little weird that this is my last week at this high school. Im excited to go on my summer vacation, but I honestly like to work and stay busy!
I have 24 days left till we go on the cruise!!! Yes, I'm still counting!
I started my 1st masters level class and already have work due this weekend! I am feeling overwhelmed because I have been so tied up with paperwork, I haven't had time to worry about the class itself.
I am listening to the movie Up in Spanish right now.
I have been really worn out this week! I missed a workout that I need to make up on my off day friday, but I hate not following the schedule exactly!
I have been worrying like crazy about my first born Flik, he is feeling much better today after a couple doses of antibiotics. I will explain in the draft post I need to finish later.
I would love to keep listing things, but I need to go back to school work!
It's my last full week at the high school and things have been crazy busy! Our weekend didn't even have much scheduled, but we managed to stay crazy busy anyway! Friday was chill, but Saturday started fast when Joey went to work and I had to clean the house. Laundry had become a small mountain!
We snuck in a quick run to the farmers market with the H family before all the work started :) we got some great meat from this table.
I made sure to get in one hour of tanning! I need to build a little so I don't fry on the cruise!!!
Sunday, I had to work and then we took the pups to play a little. I loved spending Mother's Day doing something for them!
(Excuse the windy hair look!)
I saw the H's outside in the pool so I stopped by to say hi!
Later, I got my workout in while Joey went to the store for me. :) Then our friends D and C came over to help us finish a new mirror project. It's going to look great when we are done!
They would live outside if we let them!
Any way, we had a really fun and busy weekend and closed it out with game of thrones and the season freakin finale of revenge! Both were awesome!!!
