Start of a crazy week!

Monday started with a bang! What little rest we had Saturday morning was used up by Monday at noon!
I have been dealing with lots of paperwork now that I am going to UNF for my masters. Because GA doesn't have a masters program for interpreting, I can apply for an in-state tuition waiver. Well, that sounds easy enough, but the application requires a judge's signature from our county's Supreme Court. They are Not the easiest people to track down that's for sure!!! I started trying on the 28th. I just showed up at the courthouse and started asking how one even goes about getting that signature. We have 3 judges and one was gone to another courthouse for the week, one didn't even have a secretary there, and the other secretary was busy planning an office birthday lunch, but said her judge was in the middle of a murder trial so wouldn't be able to help for a while! Frustrated (and getting sick), I left! Thursday I started calling judges again. One was still at another courthouse, one still didn't answer, and the birthday planner said her judge left Thursday before noon an was off Friday. All that to say, Monday after work, I rushed to the courthouse because the judge (I could not get to answer before) would be in his office between 2-4. I got there at 2:45 and he had "run to the post office" so I waited until 3:55 (having to feed the meter a couple of times) and finally he walked in, looked at my license and signed the paper! Why can't anyone else do that??? And what do these people do all day???

Anyway, you would think that would be the end of my crazy day, but at 6 I had Flik's first Rally obedience class!!!! I am so excited so I will have to do a whole post on that later, but I think he is going to be really great at this and I can't wait to spend special time with him practicing!
He is normally the smartest dog in the room, but he is going to have a challenge in this class! His classmates are a service dog (in training) who has had obedience his whole life and the teacher's dog that was bred for competitions!
Flik kept wanting to lay down I between tasks so I thought it was strange, but when I got home I realized he had what looked to be a spider bite. He pushed through class like a champ, but I feel bad for not noticing sooner( it's been 3 days and still looks bad so we are calling the vet today!).
We were home by 730 so you would think it was time to call it a night, but my dad called and needed help finishing up a remodeling job he picked up so I brought J and my friend N and the pups so we could hurry and I wouldn't get stuck there all night! We worked an hour or so and hurried home.
I started my insanity workout at 10pm!

My dad arrived home and said because he had to go to FL for a doctors appt, he was moving back. So while I was doing insanity, he packed. I got done at 11pm and helped dad get the last of his stuff out and said goodbye. Personally, I thought it was a really bad choice on his part, but what can ya do?
We said our goodbyes and J and I finally hit the sack around 1am. After a coughing fit around 3am (cause I am still fighting the end of that cold), I got about another hour of sleep and hated the alarm clock that went off at 6am Tuesday morning. All in a days work...
